Helio Appoints New CFO


Helio Resource Corp. ("Helio" or the "Company") (TSX-V: HRC) is pleased to announce that it has employed Mr. Andrew MacRitchie as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

Mr. MacRitchie is a Chartered Accountant and holds a B.Sc Honours degree from the University of British Columbia. He started his career as an accountant in 1999 with PricewaterhouseCoopers, during which time he gained valuable exposure to the mining industry. In 2003 Andrew moved into the mineral exploration industry, becoming the corporate controller for a group of junior exploration companies.

Andrew is the Treasurer of the Vancouver Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, and he also volunteers as a member of the Finance and Audit Committees of the Canadian Cancer Society, (BC and Yukon division) and the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

As part of Mr. MacRitchie's terms of employment, he has been granted 100,000 incentive stock options priced at 70c per share, which expire December 2, 2012. The incentive stock options will vest after 12 months employment, and are subject to the terms of the Company's incentive Stock Option Plan.
