Helio Adds a Second Drill Rig on the SMP Gold Project, Tanzania -- Expected to Drill More than 15,000m in 2007

Helio Resource Corp. ("Helio" or the "Company") (TSX-V: HRC) is pleased to report that an RC (Reverse Circulation) drill rig has been added to the current drill programme at the past-producing SMP gold project in Tanzania.

The RC drill rig, contracted from Stanley Mining Services of Tanzania, will be used to test a number of targets located along a 25km long section of the Saza Shear Zone, which is the main gold-bearing structure in the Lupa Goldfields.

Helio currently has a diamond drill rig focused on drilling the 2km long Kenge Target (see news releases dated May 23, 2007 and March 21, 2007).

Between the two drill rigs, Helio expects to drill 15,000m in 2007.
