High-Grade Bedrock Copper-Gold-Silver-Zinc Mineralisation Discovered on Grid 1, Tevrede South

 Helio Resource Corp. (TSX-V: HRC) ("Helio" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the discovery of a new mineral occurrence on its 100% owned Tevrede South property, located in northwestern Namibia. Significant assays include the following:

· TS1. Composite grab sample grading 6.42% Cu, 0.26% Zn, 69.7gt Ag and 1.78gt Au;
· TS2. Composite grab sample grading 3.45% Cu, 13.2gt Ag and 0.31g/t Au;
· TS3. Channel sample - 3.5m grading 3.05% Cu, 0.1% Zn, 17.4gt Ag and 0.85gt Au
(Open in both directions across strike); and
· TS4. Channel sample - 2.41m grading 1.57% Cu, 0.51% Zn, 5.8gt Ag and 0.34gt Au
(Open in both directions across strike).

Helio recently reported the discovery of a >3km long, multi-element soil anomaly from Grid 1 (press release October 20, 2005). Prospecting at the new anomaly, named "Zulu", has discovered two high-grade copper occurrences hosted in sedimentary rocks, with associated gold, silver and zinc values. Samples TS1, TS3 and TS4 were taken at one of these occurrences, located in a fold nose, whereas TS2 is from an occurrence on a fold limb 600m away. The Company has initiated a pole-dipole IP geophysical survey over the mineralized outcrop within the fold nose. Results of the geophysical survey will be announced in due course.

Chris MacKenzie, M.Sc., C.Geol., Helio's Executive Chairman and a Qualified Person as designated by NI 43-101, supervised the sampling and quality control programs at Tevrede South and has reviewed the technical content of this news release. The two continuous chip-channel samples consist of 3 and 5 sub-samples respectively, and results were calculated using weighted averages. Samples were analyzed at the ALS Chemex Laboratories in Johannesburg, South Africa.
